Clips for critique

Steve, is there any chance of having a section where people can post to get some feedback on their clips? Cheers Rob

Not at this point, Rob, but I'll think about it. What do others think?

I had similar thoughts Aaron. besides the fact that Steve seems to be very busy answering other questions as well as everything else on his plate...critiquing could take up some time especially with people reposting to ask " is this better?" Critiquing and the follow up "instruction" is difficult when you're not in front of the person. It does have its good points though if an easy uncomplicated way can be figured out.

Then again, we could critique each other (?)

Hey all, Rather than Critique How about a couple of advice sections?
punches , kicks , Grapple etc.

example

I might throw a poor side kick so (and this is where the videos will work great) i'd take a couple of 10 second clips (different angles) Preferably with/against a partner/opponent.
Then post it up for steve to have a look at.
What I would like to see from Steve personally if we went down this route is for him to give a couple of pointers rather than in depth answers.
I mean Why should we get everything for free? I think we would all become better this way as it gets our own brains working.

Also Rather than us all adding a new clip every other week for review / re-review I think we need to have a good look at our own game really in depth before asking any questions to try figure the problems out for ourselves.

Sam.

This would purely be a section for people who can take critism. Jesus we're all adults, apart from Norris the twat. I think it would be very constructive. Only post on this if you can take critism etc. Some of us live to far to train with decent instructors or like me are novice instructors who cringed when they saw clips of themselves.

I'm not being funny but if you can't take a bit of advice on a clip then... also it would encourage better clips which would mean better training to show your contempories who could only post if they've shown a clip of themselves... mutual respect

Agree with you on that point Rob, I was trying to word it differently. Some people see the word criticism as a Negative Word and therefore could potentially put them off posting clips.

All the Best,

Sam.

The main reason to put up something on Youtube or wherever is gain feedback (i.e. criticism, tips, advices, sugestions, praise...) from one expert in the field. And I also have confidence in coach Morris judgment in this matter. And this professional opinion have value.
